I was 13 years old when I first weighed 200+ pounds. I can remember being in high school, ditching the last of four laps around the track for my timed mile, for fear I’d be the slowest. I played soccer for nine years as a goalie, but quit in ninth grade because it required more running than I was used to. Now, the only thing I know is my soles on the pavement, ready to complete… okay rock… a full marathon.
